We've started talking about moving and where we want to live in Georgia. This also involves us looking past the five month course into an even more opaque future: where will our next home be? Army life isn't always easy and can be full of choices that affect you far down the road. Should we buy a house only to move five months later? Should we only live on post until Mac retires or gets out? What happens if / when we have kids? We've been looking at our finances more closely and want to make the best decision here, as well. Being an adult can be full of tough choices that you don't think about when you're young and want to grow up.
This is one of our on-post housing options at Fort Gordon. Mac and I both agree that we could live here. It feels like we peering into a clouded crystal ball. I personally am a planner. I like knowing what is going on at all times. Our current situation makes me feel rather helpless, and I honestly don't like it. Once he has orders in hand, we're going to Augusta to check things out.
