El cunado, redux

I can finally announce that my older sister, Leslie, and her boyfriend, Adam, are engaged! He popped the question right before the new year, they decided to order a custom ring and setting (our grandmother gave Leslie the stone from her engagement ring), and didn't tell anyone (beside me) until the ring came in. Umm, over three weeks of silence. My parents were rather impressed. She called me the other day in a panic about wedding planning, and I, for once, was able to give her advice.

Even though she hasn't officially asked me, I have already started planning Leslie's bridal shower. She and Adam love to cook, so I'm thinking a kitchen or cooking theme. I love the idea of asking the guests for a recipe and collating them in a book as a gift for the bride and favors for the guests.
